I need an idea

Hello Folks on my Friend's List!
I was wondering if I could pick your brains for a couple ideas. I need some venture ideas for a course I'm taking. I need concrete concepts that could potentially be turned into a business plan that could be submitted to potential investors. They should involve IT in some way, of course.
For example, the one idea I have right now is to develop a simulator for work flow in an office or a pharmacy/retail environment. At this time I don't have a good way to determine what staffing I need at my store. The simulator would forecast my needs based on current trends in workflow.
I don't know if that's a good idea and I need a few others to submit. Then, I have to find a group.
No idea is too crazy.
Thanks

Date: 2005-05-31 08:46 am (UTC)Set up pairs of vending machines. One sells overpriced blank CDs. The other has a large library of popular albums. The user drops in a twonie, selects their desired album and puts in a blank CD. Then they hit the big green "Copy" button. Twenty seconds later they get their disc.
So, assuming they pay $1 - $2 for the blank and $2 to "rent the burner," you're getting $3 - $4 for a material cost of a few cents per customer.
Of course, you have to invest in collecting libraries of albums...
