The air-conditioning seems to have been repaired. Thank the gods! I'm not sure I could have taken 11.5 hours of murky air.

On another note, I've mentioned before how I feel like I was cheated by the course description of my "Business of Software" course. Instead of it being about how to run a software development or IT department, this course is about how to beg venture capitalists and other investors to invest in some hare-brained idea you have come up with. While this information may be peripherally useful to me, I can't see myself running a start-up. I just don't have those kind of balls.

We're doing this course in a group of six. I have volunteered to be the "Face Man" of the group as I'm the only one who talks to random people with any regularity because of my job. My role will be to sell the product we're "developing" to the panel of "venture capitalists". Another member of my group is working for IBM as a "Business Operations Analyst" and will likely be my partner in the pitching. Now, I can sell it if I believe in the product but it looks like someone else has come out with the exact same product already and has a patent on the technology. I'm not sure how our group is going to handle this.

On the the one hand, this course seems to be an easy GPA-booster. On the other hand, it could be a huge pain in the ass.

I'm not sure what to think at this point.
